I for one am very thankful! That's a neat site you linked to.

I love looking at old photos of people. There are the ones that seem so far removed from our time b/c of hairstyle or dress, and then there are the ones that are just timeless. Like the one you had in your post. He has such a 'modern' expression on his face! I also like the one of Sakamoto Ryoma sitting on a bench for the same reason.

The pic of Nakaoka Shintaro is quite shocking! He's smiling!! Shocked

You might also be interested in these pics. These are some scans from books that were for sale on Ebay. I didn't buy them, but I did save all his preview scans Wink

Here is a sight that has alot of pics as well. There are some repeats from the above mentioned, but I still think those who enjoyed it will enjoy this one:

Great sites! I've glanced at both, but I can see I will have to peruse them later when I have more time. Thanks!

No, really. What on earth are these guys, especially that one sitting in the middle, thinking about? And look at that guy behind him, with a hand on his shoulder. There is a story there...

So, reply and give your caption for this photo! Cookies for the best one! (plus it's a great excuse to add to your posts and get closer to your own avatar!)

The first site made my day, thanks!
Old photos are really fascinating.

Btw, the 3rd link doesn't work now. Is the site down?
