Just out of curiosity I ran "samurai" through some search engines to see where samurai archives.com falls, and this is what I came up with:
Google: #2
cuil: #1
MSN: #2
Yahoo: #3
ask: #3
dogpile: #6
Altavista: #3
Lycos: #3
webcrawler: #4
ixquick: #4
In most cases wikipedia comes up first essentially because it acts as global spam, but a few search engines seem to block wikipedia, which is commendable, since logically if anyone wants a wikipedia result, they'll go straight to wikipedia. Anyway, still (nearly) on top after all these years. _________________ Shop Amazon.com, support the Samurai Archives: http://amzn.to/wnDX2j

Awesome.
I've also noticed the SA Wiki come up pretty high in the search results if you search for the names of many of the articles.
To take just one example, I just Googled "Takeda Shingen":
3rd result is www.samurai-archives.com/shingen.html
5th result is the S-A Wiki entry.
Cool beans. _________________ My blog on Japanese art & history: http://chaari.wordpress.com

Yezzzzzzzz! I are da man!
...or would be, if most of the results weren't Tatsunoshis other than my forum ID.
And sometimes it's more fun to humble ones self.
Another interesting fact I learned goofing around on the net today is that Kenneth Swope's power animal is the Nigerian Dwarf Goat. Yes, seriously. Shoulda been a Robber Dwarf Goat. |
