I figured there are probably some people here who might be interested, and the $500 grand prize can't hurt either:
http://katsuyoritosa.web.fc2.com/characterinternationak.html
The English isn't all that great, but it is readable:
"The winner will be selected through the public voting at the event for The 400 Year Anniversary After Katuyori's Death (sponsored by the Association of Takeda Katsuyori in Tosa) and will be chosen by the executive board of the association
Winner will be notified by E-mail and their details will be published on the Katsuyori Takeda in Tosa website on middle of September 2009.
The prize of the highest award we will choose the best 1 designs based on the selection criteria.
50,000 yen (about US$500)."
And so on. Check the website for details. _________________ Shop Amazon.com, support the Samurai Archives: http://amzn.to/wnDX2j

Here's my not-so-original design-- but hey, it's perfect and true to form for Katsuyori.

BTW- while exploring the Association of Katsuyori Takeda's website, they claim that Katsuyori did not kill himself, but escaped to Shikoku and lived to fight many more Sengoku battles under his new name. This association is made up of his descendants.
Also of note, for more information in English about Takeda Katsudoughri, they provide a link to the SA's Samurai Wiki. _________________

Since it's a public voting system and the voting began on the 7th of this month and ends on the 15th of next, if fear it's too late to stand a chance...
But thanks for the post , let us know it anyone sees anything similar, could be fun! _________________ Rekishi to wa, takeyabu ni, tadayotteiru kiri no you na mono desu. |
