Kazunomiya was Emperor Komei's sister, she married to Shogun Iemochi.
I rented a book from local liberary and found this picture.
This picture was taken in 1950's when Tokugawa's cemetary was relocated.
The bones are Kazunomiya and there is a glass pane photo on the center.
The photo was Iemochi's portrait.
Kazunomiya didn't want to marry him.
But after they got married they loved each other.
They were both 16 y.o.
Their marriage ended in 4 years because of Iemochi's death.
Right before Iemochi died in Osaka, he sent a gift to Kazunomiya in Edo which was Nishijin textile.
She received after his death.
The poem she wrote then was really moving.
空蝉の唐織ごろもなにかせむ
綾も錦も君ありてこそ
"The beautiful textile worth nothing without you"
