Actually it was Maekawa residence.
Maekawa residence is in front of Yagi residence.
Maekawa's Honke was a Kakeya掛屋 and they had connection to Bugyo-sho奉行所 and Shoshidai所司代.
Maekawa Honke was asked to find accommodations for the Roshigumi by Shoshidai.
Maekawa offered their relatives house in Mibu village.
Mibu was suburb of Kyoto and it's close to Nijo castle.
But the Maekawa residence was not big enough to accommodate all the Roshigumi members, so some residences around the Maekawa's include Yagi's were chosen to be the Roshigumi accommdations.
The Maekawa family couldn't stand living with them and moved to the Honke's residence.
