The other day, I read a blog that said 4 temples claimed to have the grave of Kiyokawa Hachirō. I have to be honest and say that I never thought about where the guy was buried. He's one of the most irritating samurai of the Bakumatsu, after all. Who would actually want to go there? Furthermore, why would these temples be vying for bragging rights over such a treacherous dude?

Well, it turns out to be a pretty complicated story. I learned way more about the guy than I wanted to along the way, but I guess they do say "know your enemy."

Anyhoo, you can read the article here.
