I want to buy samurai yoroi armor

I'm Pascal from Belgium, Europe. I'm married to a Japanese woman (for 16 years now).
I'm a big fan of this website and podcast (have heard them all !)

I would like to decorate our new house with a full Yoroi. It would be gorgeous to have one sitting under our staircase in our central hall.

... so I don't need the most authentic (tens of thousands of dollars) stuff, but I still want good quality (not an Ali-Express plastic toy either).
It's purely for decorating our house-entrance, not for wearing.
I'm prepared to spend a few thousand euros/dollars, but not tens-of thousands though ...

Where should I buy this ? online ? is that safe ? fake cheap looking toys ?

Or, the next time we travel to her homecountry, buy one there and have it shipped home ? or can't these (tourist-) shops be trusted either ?

Any tips ?
Please someone set me in the right direction to not getting scammed ...

Thanks in advance !

Hi Pascal,
'Van Hier tot Tokio', an antique store in Amsterdam, has armor for sale now and then. Quite nice replica's used for jidai matsuri, or movies, for reasonable prices. Or you can ask your fellow countrymen from Samurai Events for adresses. They certainly can help you out.

From here: http://www.samurai-store.com

You can buy a brand new one with custom sizing if necessary. The manufacturer is Marutake based at Satsuma Sendai.

Pascal, I am the leader of Samurai Events in Belgium. Please send me an e-mail to info@samoerai.name and I will guide you to all possibilities (and I am curious to learn about your wish to obtain the armour...)
The samurai sword symbolizes in fact the soul of the samurai.
"If the samurai sword was just a weapon, why would tokkotai (suicide-mission) pilots during the Pacific War have one stowed in the cockpit of their planes that they aimed to slam into oblivion against an enemy ship?" says Yoshihara, who is one of Japan's top swordsmiths.

"Kachi wa saya no naka ni ari"
(Victory comes while the sword is still in the scabbard)
